Direction & dramaturgy

She is a playwright, actress and theater director. She has participated in various film, radio and television projects in Oaxaca, Mexico. In 2001 she began her professional career as an actress in her hometown. She teaches acting, verbal expression and artistic education in different educational institutions. She is founder, actress and director of the theater group Los Faranduleros, she has been creator and promoter of the project El Balcón that deploys artistic activities in the commercial and neglected areas of the city of Oaxaca, she was a FONCA scholarship holder in 2012 (scholarship granted by Secretaría de Cultura del Gobierno de Mexico). In 2018 she created together with other artists from Oaxaca, Espejo escénico group with which they have served the neglected children population of Oaxaca, which promotes theater in the 8 regions of the
state and with which they develop social welfare projects taking the performing arts as an axis. She is the author of the story "Las 8 joyas de Igu" and the play "Cruzando Ensueños" with which she has created an artistic link between the migrant communities of Oaxaca, New York and New Jersey.

Actress (Oaxaca, México)

Actress, cultural manager, and promoter in the City of Oaxaca de Juárez, Oaxaca. Founder in 1999 of the Cultural Center "La Casa de los Teatros." In 2010, she established the theater group "Los Faranduleros." In 2016, along with other prominent artists, she founded Sahumerio Producciones A.C., and in 2018, she joined the group Espejo Escénico Producciones. She pursued her studies at the Center for Artistic Education (CEDART) and in acting at the Universidad Veracruzana.

For the past 30 years, she has been an unwavering promoter of theatrical activity in the state of Oaxaca, earning her several awards. In 2013, she received the "Mentes Quo" Discovery Award, and in 2004, she was honored by the State Government through Casa de la Cultura Oaxaqueña for her contribution to the cultural enrichment of Oaxaca in the theatrical field. In 2006, the Honorable City Council of Oaxaca City bestowed upon her the title of Distinguished Citizen. She has represented Oaxacan theater at the National Theater Shows in 1982 and from 1987 to 1990. In 1988, she participated in the XVI Cervantino Festival in Guanajuato, Gto. Currently, she is involved in the "Firmemos la Paz" Project and "Las Ocho Joyas de Igu," a production of Espejo Escénico Producciones.

Georgina
Saldaña Wonchee

Actrees (USA)

Originally from Mexico City, she studied in London and Paris. She is a
mezzo-soprano, and was part of the Coro Amadeus in Voce, she participated as a soloist with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Oaxaca under the direction of maestro Juan Trigos. Her repertoire includes medieval, pre-classical, baroque and 20th century ecclesiastical chant, as well as Mexican and Latin American popular music. She was vocalist of the versatile group Carnaval Show in Ocotlán de Morelos, Mexico. She was part of the group Raíces de Son Jarocho as a jaranera, singer and dancer-zapateadora. In 2010 she founded the Cumbia fusion group La China Sonidera with whom she has around 15 compositions and three record productions: "La China Sonidera", "Interranchonal" and "Presente". In 2018 she participated as a soloist in the album "Villancicos Novohispanos" a CIESAS production. Since this same year she is co-founder of the company "Espejo Escénico", co-author actress and singer in the plays "Firmemos la paz" and "Las 8 joyas de Igu", participating in the 42 Muestra Nacional de Teatro 2021. She currently lives in New York City where she recently completed a conservatory at Atlantic Schoool of Acting.

AzucenaGalicia

Costume design

A scenographer with over ten years of experience, graduated from the National School of Theatrical Arts at INBA (National Institute of Fine Arts). She has primarily worked as a costume designer, set designer, prop master, mask creator, and makeup artist in theater, photography, television, and cinema. She has collaborated with theater companies that focus on incorporating clown techniques into classical and contemporary works of various styles and genres. Some of these companies include Idiotas Teatro, El Gallinero, Triciclo Rojo, Nocturno Teatro, Laboratorio de la máscara, among others.

Her work has been showcased in national and international festivals, including the International Cervantino Festival (Mexico), National Theater Shows (Mexico), and the International Youth Theater Encounter in Seville (Spain), among others. She has been nominated for the Agrupación de Críticos y Periodistas de Teatro A.C. (ACPT) awards for "Best Costume Design" with the production "A golpe de calcetín" (With a Sock Punch).

Edgar
Mora

Set and Lighting Design

Scenic designer, graduated from the Bachelor's program in Scenography at the National School of Theatrical Arts, National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature, in Mexico City (2010-2014). His expertise lies in generating creative processes to shape set and lighting design. Since 2011, he has collaborated as a creative alongside national and international stage directors in productions spanning various disciplines such as Theater, Contemporary Dance, Classical Dance, Folk Dance, Opera, Clowning, Musical Theater, and Multidisciplinary and Alternative Shows.

He has conducted courses on set and lighting design, focusing on both the creative and technical aspects, for the Art Direction diploma at CENTRO, at the University of Communication, and in independent spaces for scenography courses. Currently, he works as an independent artist on future projects.
